I've been working on my Sivir build, and I've been having some decent results. Ghost+Smite are my summoner skills. This gives you great escapability or pounce power, combined with some decent creeping skill. You should always, always be killing minions or creep. Sivir's a very poor ganker unless you're at the right place at the right time, so focus on laning.
I've been trying two different starting builds. The first goes:
Dorin's Ring
Save around 1400
Boots + Recurve Bow
Bloodthirster
BF Sword/Last Whisper
Or
Meki Pendant
Boot + Chalice
Recurve Bow
Bloodthirster
BF Sword/Last Whisper
The way I see it, the more DPS you the faster you can push/destroy towers. Boomerang does amazing base damage, so building AP for that seems excessive. The DPS + Lifesteal means you'll be fine if you stay in the back of your team and simply ricochet/boomerang. The Lifesteal should mitigate a lot of extraneous damage, but not a spike, so watch out for stuns (go shield!) and dps spikes.
If your team is defending a turret, leave them and go push a lane/creep if laning is too dangerous. Your team should be able to hold turrets without you. If your team is pushing then push with them.
Boomerang should be your priority skill, put one point in shield at level 2, then get ricochet from then on. Getting ricochet too early will gimp your mana, and if you're solo it you want to be careful about pushing too hard. Just last hit and harass.
I've given up on the aura items, because they require you to be by your team to be most effective. |
