From Xelissa:

gladiator's armor (energy armor) is the best all-purpose armor. You seriously cannot go wrong with glad armor. If you're running a knockdown build, stoneskin gauntlets are godly (increase knockdown duration). They nerfed Knight's armor or whatever so it's not global anymore (the reduce damage taken by such and such), so there's no real point of getting it anymore. Glad's armor is required for a lot of builds. Glad's armor to warriors is pretty much druid's armor to rangers: you need to have a set, and it's necessary/nice for many if not most builds.
The cake is a lie.

From Xelissa:

No problem. You'll definately want those stoneskin gauntlets later when you want to try out a hammer build, or a Warrior Assasin.

Shove is also a warrior skill that isn't weapon dependent.
The cake is a lie.
